EPAC-Polyline insulators have
a high dielectric, smooth glossy finish which Is ultraviolet stabilized to
provide extended in-service life.
EPAC employs a far superior
method of securing end fittings. Tongue
and clevis hardware is crimped onto the rod simultaneously from all
directions. There is no reliance on adhesives.
The end fitting design causes
flashovers to occur at the outer rim away from the rod.
Each insulator is pull tested
to its rated strength
The polyester resign compound
used in the pultruded rod will not harden or become brittle with time.
The rod stability remains constant under tension and vibration.
The dielectric strength of 1
inch of rod is equivalent to 16.5kv of
dry impulse.
